On July 21st, 2019, Lift Up the Vulnerable launched our new Manhattan headquarters gifted to us for free with guests from around the world!  Honored guest speaker, James Lual Atak, one of our indigenous directors from South Sudan shared about his God-inspired vision as a young man to return to serve the most vulnerable in his war-ravaged village. His faithfulness to that vision—and much love and support from partners like you—has saved many thousands of lives today.

Patrice Pike (musician and executive director of Step Onward Foundation) along with Mike Messer brought the funk. Plus, the Step Onward Foundation board came all the way from TX to join the ceremony and announce our new partnership in working together to launch students in South Sudan towards thriving!

Filmmakers from Philamedia drove up from Philadelphia to share The Bricks film trailer documenting the tragedy and the hope rising in South Sudan.

The fundraiser was a beautiful beginning celebration and great tribute to the movement of Love that makes impossible POSSIBLE. I am so thankful for the many volunteers, deeply dedicated LUV board members, new friends and long term supporters that continue to find common ground and unite together on behalf of the most vulnerable in our world.  Click here to see the photo album.
