Thank you for your prayers and generosity for the children in Sudan! As we shared earlier this month, flooding closed the only route into the Nuba Mountains. Our Father’s Cleft (OFC) and the surrounding community were cut off from access to life-saving supplies.

You helped us respond!

After working for nearly two decades in Sudan and South Sudan, our leaders know how to be agile. Once one route closed, we kicked into gear to strategically and creatively adapt to get food for the students at OFC.

OFC Director Ezekiel Ayub and his team have been working day and night to find new local opportunities to get the supplies they need to care for the most vulnerable children and women. Instead of three truckloads of goods imported from Kenya (our original plan), Ezekiel’s dogged determination has helped us find an assortment of vendors and markets that will secure nearly all the food and school resources the students require for the remainder of the year.

God is making a way!

Procurement is still taking place, but God is making a way for the children to have what they need through your prayers, generosity, and our leader’s persistence! Soon harvests from their growing school farm will also supplement their nutritional needs — and plant the seeds for long-term food security.

You can continue to make a lasting difference! Your generosity today will directly prevent the exploitation of vulnerabilities for hundreds of children and women in the Nuba Mountains and help us respond to emerging needs in warzones.
