3.  CONSENT TO TRANSFER OF INFORMATION FROM OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES

If you access our website(s) from outside of the United States, information that we collect about you will be transferred to servers inside the United States and maintained, which may involve the transfer of information out of your country of origin. 4. CHILD PRIVACY

It is not our intention to collect or use Personal Information from anyone under 18 years of age, and we will not knowingly do so. If we are made aware that we have collected any Personal Information from children under the age of 18, and are asked to delete such information from our system, we will promptly do so.

The identity of all who contact us through this website will be kept confidential. Use of Personal Information will be limited to the internal purposes of LUV and only to further our ministry activities and purposes.

In order to tailor our interactions with you and complete transactions you request, we collect information:

• You provide when you request information or materials from our organization;
• You provide through online donations and/or orders; and

• Complete any transactions you request or issue donation tax receipts. Credit card numbers are used only for donation processing and are not retained for any other purposes.
• Communicate with you about your donor account or transactions with us;
• Send you information about our ministry or features on our websites and applications;

• Provide advertising about our ministry activities based on your activity on our website(s) and applications and on third-party websites and applications;
• Optimize or improve our products, services, and operations; and,
• Detect, investigate, and prevent activities that may violate our policies or be illegal.

Lift Up the Vulnerable is committed to ensuring the security of your information. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the proper use of information, we have established and implemented appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Lift Up the Vulnerable uses Internet Encryption Software, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Protocol when collecting or transferring sensitive data such as credit card information. Any information you enter is encrypted at your browser, sent over the public Internet in encrypted form. Our donor management system maintains the highest industry level standards for security and PCI (Payment Card Industry)  compliance. Please be aware that, despite our best efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

9. LINKS TO THIRD PARTY WEBSITES AND THIRD-PARTY APPLICATIONS

To allow you to interact with third-party websites on which you may have accounts (such as social media websites) or join communities on such websites, we may provide links or embed third-party applications that allow you to login, post content, or join communities from our website(s). We may promote and encourage support of our ministry activities by purchasing advertising space on third-party websites. When you visit one of our websites, we or a third party may place one or more types of cookies on your computer in order to recognize your computer. If we advertise about our ministry activities on third-party websites, we are able to compile anonymous information over time about the types of pages, content, and ads you or others who use your computer visited or viewed. This anonymous information is used for many purposes. For example, it would help us try to ensure that you do not see the same advertisements repeatedly. We may also use this anonymous information to help select and display targeted advertisements on third-party websites that encourage support of our ministry activities.

13.  GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

16. BLOGS AND INTERACTIVE MEDIA

If you use blogging features or otherwise post information to our website(s), you give LUV the irrevocable right to reproduce, distribute, publish, display, edit, modify, create derivative works from and otherwise use your submission for any purpose, in any form, and on any media.

If you use blogging features or otherwise post information to our website(s), you agree you will not:

  • Post material that infringes on the rights of any third party, including intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights

  • Post material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, slanderous, hateful or embarrassing to any other person or entity as determined by LUV in its sole discretion

  • Post advertisements of solicitations for business

  • Post chain letters or pyramid schemes

  • Impersonate another person including but not limited to a spouse, child or sibling

  • Allow another person to use your credentials for posting or viewing comments

  • Post the same note more than once or “spam”

LUV reserves the right (but is not obligated) to do any or all of the following:

  • Remove communications that fail to conform with these terms of use

  • Terminate a user’s access to the entire website(s) or specific features such as the blog

  • Edit or delete any communications posted on the blog features, regardless of whether such communications violate these standards.

17.  eCOMMERCE

Donations.  For donations given via credit card, a valid credit card number, expiration date and card security code is required. If we are unable to process your donation to the credit card you provide, we may request an alternate form of donation. LUV’s designated credit card processor will collect your credit card information and related personal information for its use in processing your donations. Any complaints or grievances regarding the processing of your payment should be addressed to LUV at the contact information provided.

Responsibility for charges and fees. You are solely responsible for all charges and applicable fees (including any fees assessed by your bank) associated with your donation.

18. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree that you will indemnify Lift Up the Vulnerable against any damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs) arising out of a claim by a third party relating to materials you have posted or other actions taken by you on the website(s).

The marks “LUV,” “Lift Up the Vulnerable,” “Lift Up the Vulnerable.org” and the LUV logo are trademarks and/or service marks of Lift Up the Vulnerable. The content and design of LUV website is protected by U.S. and international copyright laws.
