There is an African proverb that reads:

“If I stand tall, I’m standing on the shoulders of those who have gone before us.”

That is how I feel about the blood, sweat, and tears that were sacrificed by the leaders and staff of Make Way Partners and the groundbreaking work that was laid over the past fifteen years to create a tremendously important indigenously directed anti-trafficking network.  I am deeply thankful that I was able to serve as a founding board member of MWP and later as the Vice President of Operations.

With your help, I am eager to now be a part of advancing the larger mission of protecting, providing, and empowering vulnerable children and women in this world to grow and transform their nations toward hope and healing.  Lift Up the Vulnerable (LUV) will work with the indigenous partners MWP invested in in order to determine specific steps and strategies to provide consistent, sustainable, transformational care and infrastructure for the vulnerable and deepen the quality of care available in Sudan and South Sudan.

As LUV takes over MWP operations in Africa, we will provide complete funding and administrative oversight for the indigenously directed anti-trafficking network in Sudan and South Sudan that MWP helped to launch.  LUV will help this network continue to deepen, expand, and thrive so even more lives are lifted up and receive consistent, quality, loving care.

With LUV and appreciation,

Audrey Moore
