I am delighted to share about Lift Up the Vulnerable’s recent addition of Katie Robinson as our newest Regional Ambassador.

Katie has worked in children’s ministries since 2007. She graduated from Birmingham-Southern College with a degree in English and is a trained catechist with the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. She has worked in marketing, communications, and advancement over the years, and her passion for children and spiritual formation has remained steadfast. Katie approaches her work with children humbly because she feels that children have an innate ability to grasp deep theological truths more easily than many adults. After learning about LUV’s ethical approach to transformational change in the region led by relationships with local partners, she was moved to be a part of the ministry. She now considers it a great privilege to be able to combine her love of working with children and her professional skills to support the work of Lift Up the Vulnerable and its partners in Sudan and South Sudan.

I invited Katie to share more with you about why she felt compelled and called to serve with this ministry.

Katie writes, “Hearing Audrey Moore, LUV’s CEO, speak was inspirational for me. Like most people I’m heartbroken when I hear about the suffering of children and when that suffering is happening so far away, I feel helpless and hopeless. Learning about LUV and its success partnering with local leaders that are also passionate about ending the suffering gave me hope! It is a gift to me to be connected to people that have made it their life’s work to lift up the most vulnerable.”

LUV envisions a world where vulnerable children and women are empowered and, through them, war-torn communities are transformed. In these uncertain times, our work now is more critical than ever. Your prayers and financial partnership will help us save lives. Learn more about serving as a Regional Ambassador in your area!
