From Desperation to Healing

At a rural medical clinic in South Sudan, a desperate father carried his only child to Lift Up the Vulnerable’s team, pleading for help. His two-year-old daughter, Agor, was born with a rare and life-threatening condition that could only be corrected by surgery far beyond their reach. With tears, prayers, and the support of compassionate donors, hope broke through despair — opening the door for Agor to receive the life-saving treatment she needs.

Today, as the world celebrates Valentine’s Day (or as we like to call it, the International Day of LUV), we’re honoring a different form of love: agape — the Greek word for God’s compassionate love that cares for vulnerable orphans and widows in their distress; especially those at-risk to human trafficking.
